Our new wings for WingFest 2021…

We returned to WingFest at the end of July to defend our title of Best Wild Wing 2019. Introducing our new wings…

Sex Panther

This wing is a new high watermark for decadence… The genesis of the wing was an appreciation of maple syrup and bacon; they’re great friends, and would perhaps be good friends on a wing? Many variations later, the sauce evolved into a bacon infused maple-bourbon-butterscotch; it’s rich and complex, smoky, mildly spicy and utterly, utterly filthy. Layered over this is pink panther sauce; a fluorescent pink maple infused sauce to amplify all of the good mapliness. Above this is a sprinkle of furikake – a Japanese seasoning made from seaweed, sesame seeds and other good stuff. And as if that wasn’t enough, the wise decision was made to crumble pork scratching on top. Naturally. Finally a name befitting of the recipe was required and Sex Panther was the only logical option…

Chipuffalo Dynamite

We’ve taken our previously Wingfest winning sauce and taken it up a notch!  The rich chocolatey smokiness of the Mexican chipotles that we use is what sets Chipuffalo apart, so for this sauce we’ve elevated all of those flavours to the next level to make a deep, rich complex buffalo sauce. Served with an ultra creamy blue cheese dip on the side.

Well done to all the team for an awesome weekend. Unfortunately, we didn’t walk away with the trophy this time, but we’re already planning our comeback for WingFest 2022!
